Manchester City vs Sevilla predictions
The Super Cup pits the Champions League winners against the Europa League victors.
This year it’s Manchester City who take on the five-time runners up Sevilla.
Sevilla’s only win has come in 2006 but have managed to get to the Super Cup, via the Europa League in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020 but failed to win on each attempt against the stronger UCL winners.
They had to face Real Madrid twice, Barcelona and most recently Bayern Munich.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have won in recent years and now it looks time for City to continue their dominance at a European level.
Man City vs Sevilla betting tips
Erling Haaland to score, City to win 3-0 – 23/1
Haaland is always going to be on the shortlist to score anytime and he got back to his usual scoring ways against Burnley on Friday night, netting in the first five minutes back in the league.
He then scored another in the first half in the 36th minute to bag yet another brace for Man City.
City also beat Burnley 3-0 that game but with this being the first game back there could still be some teething problems and as such you can expect some improvement from them in a game that comes with a possibility of silverware.
Interestingly, Julian Alvarez played up top with Haaland, in a more midfield attacking role but might be expected to be on the bench this time out in favour of Jack Grealish who was on the bench throughout at Turf Moor.
Kevin De Bruyne is expected to be out of contention after picking up an injury early on, on Friday night and Josko Gvardiol might well play a more prominent role as well.
