Australia Women vs England Women predictions

Australia seem to be overpriced here against an England Women side who narrowly got through to the quarter-finals before playing well to deservedly win in 90 minutes over Colombia.

England are the strong favourites for many reasons though and their form, including the European Championship win last summer see them just better than evens.

However, Australia beat England in April, to put an end to the Lionesses long unbeaten run under Sarina Wiegman.

France were big contenders too and Australia managed to beat them twice, once in a friendly and last time out in the quarter-finals to win on penalties 7-6.

But it’s still difficult to side against England Women who always find a way of getting through and finding that bit extra.

Australia Women vs England Women betting tips

England Women to win and both teams to score – 9/1

Australia have shown signs of brilliance throughout this competition but have also looked vulnerable at the back against some of the top sides too.

They will have their fans backing them and the stadium will likely be a good 95% in favour of Australia which will require England to rise well above that noise.

Sam Kerr and Alessia Russo to score – 12/1

Kerr will be looking to make up for lost time having only made an appearance as a substitute against Denmark, due to recovering from an injury setback.

Now though she might be ready to make the starting XI for the first time.

Russo has already netted twice in this competition including against Colombia, and the now Arsenal striker looks to be thriving in the knockout stages.
